NELSON WALKER

 

Raised in Maryland, I graduated from Howard University with a major in film production and a minor in history. While at Howard, I was a prominent member of the Howard University Film Organization (HUFO), serving as Treasurer during the Fall 2007-Spring 2008 semesters. While my main area of expertise is in post-production as an editor, I also have a strong background in the other areas of production through my work as a camera operator, director, and producer.  Currently, I freelance for various productions and production companies in and around the Washington DC Metropolitan area.  My freelance experience includes working in positions such as assistant editor, DIT, grip, assistant director, and production assistant.  Production companies that I’ve worked for includes Half Yard Productions, Struble Eichenbaum Communications, Knowlera Media, Creative Video of Washington, and many others.  I also volunteer for numerous organizations and projects, which includes being an AV technician for the First Baptist Church of North Brentwood and editing projects for various individuals/groups.  Other personal accomplishments include earning the rank of Eagle Scout, as well as being a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
